Default Whinning/squeeking when ideling ans parked

I have a '95 Disco with 88k miles, for the past few months it has been making a whinning or squeeking sound while sitting at stop lights or parked. I believe it is the alternater pulley or the ideler pulley making this noise. When they go out do they generally whine or squeel like that? Has anyone had this problem before?

It also squeeks when you turn off the engine.

You could have a bad belt or bearing. You are going to need to pull the belts off and check to see whwrw the noise is coming from.

Hey mike is changing the idler pully simple on a 98 disco. Also heard that people used this part from a astro van? If so I change it out this weekend. Also what bearings are you talking about?
