whinning transfer case
#31
Starting from front to back...u-joint, slip joint, u-joint, u-joint, slip joint, u-joint.
Grease all of them until new grease comes out of all four cups and out of the gator that covers the slip joint.
If you run both passenger side wheels up onto ramps it will be alot easier for you to reach everything.
Grease all of these at EVERY oil change and within a day or so after driving through water that is deep enough to submerge the entire underside of the truck.

i just found out that the whining grinding noise is comming from my "well if i buy it" transfer case. It only happens when you are driving over 30 miles an hour and you take your foot off the gas and decelerate. at about 20 miles an hour or when you touch the gas it goes away... You can hear the noise from the transfer case area... Has anyone ever had this happen?driving normal it's quiet...only when you take your foot off the gas...
Thanks Chris
