That’s crazy I was just reading your post on another thread suggesting that. I’ll order that fan clutch you suggested too the Hayden 2991. I don’t want to put all this in and it fail again because the clutch was bad because it just sounded so weird super loud

Or is there a different fan clutch you’d suggest now

Would you suggest maybe using a duralast one from auto zone , only because the Dorman fan is in stock at my advance and it would be nice to have it all in tomaorw so I can mess around with it instead of last minute waiting for the parts to come in

I use the Auto Zone fan clutches with no issues. They used to be torq flo stuff made in china, but they switched to American Made fan clutches now. Zero issues with those!

alright so ill get that fan clutch, and the dorman fan blade. last thing i need to know is the location where the line was crimped is it still good to drive, if that is the power steering line is it in a place that will burn the pump out or just make it harder to steer, im only going on a trip that around an hour away so heavy steering wont bother me

Yeah that poor line took a beating. I don't think it would fry the pump (that usually happens when the pump runs dry). If you hear the steering growl or sound odd then I'd be concerned, but if it sounds normal lock to lock I wouldn't worry about it until you can repair/replace it.

Thank you, both parts will be in tomorrow. I just need to somehow keep the top hose from dropping into the fan without that shroud there

Yeah that might be an interesting challenge with some zip ties temporarily

Yeah I normally don’t drive it and it sits so if something breaks I order all the correct parts and take my time but I’m moving into college this week and this is the only car that can hold everything so I need to rush things
