I know they are a little different

How are they different?

Everyone reports that even though there are different part numbers, 99-2002 and 03-04 are interchangeable.

Rock auto has the cheapest price on a new tank, $39 last time a checked.

Should be interchangiable, just make sure to install a new cap. While you are at it, have you ever changed your t/stat, if not, this is a good time to do it and bleed the system afterwards.

thanks for the input. went ahead and installed the 01. wanted to drive it for a week or two before i responded. it looks like it works fine.
