I just got a 8k smiltybilt winch, installed all the hard ware annnnnddddd nothing. To my knowledge this should be fine but I'm wondering if it's my wiring or the winch.

I connected the positive lead to the screw hole on the top of the positive terminal at the battery and the negative to the first bolt point on the rover that is about 1' away from the negative lead at the battery. Is this fine or common?

 

Figured it out, connector inside the switch was off
