Default Window won't go down

My disco 2 drivers side window won't roll down. I have put a meter on it and when I press the button I get voltage but no action. Is the issue the window motor or the scissor piece that holds the window itself? How can I tell? I am ready to burn this thing to the ground. So pissed!

Can you hear the motor trying to turn? In my case it was the motor. The new one was $34 shipped from Lucky8.

The whole regulator and motor is as cheap as chips. If you are getting power to the motor plug it's either the motor kaput or the regulator or both.

Calm down, you bought a truck that will need maintenance like this. You will probably be replacing all 4 window motors, regulators("scissor piece"), locks depending how long you have your truck. These door mechanisms are the easiest to replace that I've ever experienced; very simple, but they only last so long. I suggest you replace the whole assembly so you don't have to mess with it again. Look at a vid if you're having trouble.

The regulator probably has a broken wheel, binding and preventing it from going down.
It's an easy fix.

Also, on this forum, there is a thread about that issue: https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...asy-fix-76470/

That might be helpful.
