Default wiper problems

Well the snow is falling in Colorado and once again when I start my truck up in this AM the wipers are not working . After the truck gets warm I can get it to work in the low continuous setting. This morning I heard the relay click in the intermittent mode but the wiper did not move. I need to tell you I am not a mechanic and my mechanical skills are luke warm at best. I want to avoid the mechanic if I can.

Were the wipers frozen to the windshield? It sounds like the wiper arms are slipping or you've got a blown fuse.

It's a known issue with the wiper stalk. I have it in cold weather too. Have not researched the fix yet.

I don't get the wipers, either. When its cold or when you just start the rover up, they wont move. When its a little warmer, they work like a charm. How could a necessary feature like wipers be so difficult to engineer??? Hiring design teams from UK craigslist??

Thanks for the link BadIn88. Thanks CANAMDiscovery for the write up. It worked perfectly.
