Default Wiper Swith/Motor?

2000 DII

My wipers work perfectly fine except for the low intermittent setting. They will wipe halfway then stop and you have to manually make them return to the resting position by turning the stalk. I read posts about it being the switch so I changed that and it's still doing it. Would wiper motor be the next step and how do I test this to see if that's the problem?

Thanks

The park switch inside the wiper motor is failing, time to replace the motor.
