Wires ripped out ..
The one from ebay is transmission harness and probably the one you need cuz there is only one harness piece in that area. Not sure how they will deliver it to where you are though.
Just twist the wires of the same color and tape with electrical tape to get you running. Have a pro do a proper fix.

If that's above what you're able to do, you definitely will not be able to replace the wiring harness as a whole. If that's the case then you need to find someone who will haul it to a mechanic.
Good heat shrink has something similar to hot glue inside that seals it.
This is a much easier fix than replacing the harness you linked. Just match colors. Use crimp connectors. They make a type of crimp connector that you can heat after it's been crimped and it will seal itself to prevent future corrosion.

Can this thing wired in? And I don't see any wires chewed ... Looks like it was ripped out..
I need to pull it out of there .. tow it out .. .. but theres no shops here .. or they dont have the skills. .. they dont speak english .. . I .hope dont have to send it back because of this ****. ..
Some of the plugs around the transmission/transfer case are not used on every truck. As said, that looks like it could be a temperature sensor connector which is not always used. So if you reconnect it, you could still end up hunting for someplace to plug it in which doesn't even exist.
Nothing about reconnecting the torn wires is specific to Land Rover. It's literally just finding the wire with the same colour insulation, stripping some of the insulation off, and twisting them together.
That will only be a temporary fix until you can find someone who is going to be able to reconnect things permanently (i.e. solder and shrink) but it's better than nothing. Or you could take your original path of tearing apart the truck in order to replace the harness (possibly multiple harnesses) -- which WILL require someone with Rover knowledge, or at least the patience to thoroughly read service manuals before tackling the job.

Just in case .. I sprayed Moby with Pepper self Defense Spray.... threw half a pound of mint leaves in the engine bay .. saw no wires damage in the engine but if it's a rats nest it should be out of there soon. I got pepper spray on my fingers from that..and forgot about it. Later I used the bathroom. Thought I caught a disease off the public toilet seat here.. it was bad .. def not something I want to experience again .. I hope this is over soon .. and and I can finally drive out of here..
The engine is well forward of this area, so petrol or diesel shouldn't matter. Any competent mechanic should be able to sort this out even if they have no experience with Rovers.
