Default Wont start stuck at the mall

Okay well my 2002 disco is currently stuck up at the mall and will not start. Apprentally the abs and tc light has been coming on periodically that past few days, and some one just kept forgetting to tell me. I took one short trip this morning and no problems left to goto the mall, no problems, left the mall and it tries to start put it just spins. It spins really fast and with seemingly no resistance. To me it seems like the starter is not engaging with the flywheel. I am going to let the car cool down and go back up there tonight, but i was hoping maybe i could get some other ideas.

Thanks

Nick

ps yes the brakes have been squeeling so i think i need to put on some new brakes, i am hoping this is not somehow part of the issue and both things are unrelated.

Disco's are alergic to malls. Thats your issue.

Just kidding, I hope you can find the issue and get it back home.

Take the Disco off road and you'll have no problem. A mall parking lot to a Disco is like kryptonite to Superman. I took my Disco to the mall the other day with no lights on the dash, came out, started the truck and the check engine light is on. Malls are just bad anyways, really bad for Discos.

Hi Nick,
I hope you figured it out. Let us know what the cause/remedy was. That way we all learn...
Cheers!

I spoke with him yesterday, figuring it was the crank senser, I suggested he let it sit a couple hour and then go back, he did and it started, barely making it home before it died again.
Last I heard, he is going for a new crank senser.

I have a good question for you guys...

The PO had the crank sensor changed. Is it still apt to fail on me?
