Woo hoo - block leak check done - no leaks!
If you have not been following my saga, quick run down
bought Disco I
head gaskets blown
removed heads found hole in piston
removed bad piston, cylinder found good
I watched the video for the block leak tester (that sells for $250). I thought it a good thing to check since I had the bad piston and blown head gasket.
I made my own for exactly zero dollars (helps to work some place with scrap metal and hardware). If I had to buy everything it would have cost less than $20.
Anyway, I pressurized the block and no leaks! woo hoo!
Heads are going to the machine shop tomorrow and I am ordering a new piston tonight.
Come on Rover - breath again!!!! Thanks to all that provided direction to date. You have made Disco ownership hopeful!
