I'm sure there wereprevious threads about this topic already but I'm new... forgive me for reposting... I got a 00 Disco II. I would like to make the interior look a lil better... The wood trim kit seems like it could do it butI've heardthat they end up peeling off and/or cracking... Is it true? I know there's the Benevento one from British Atlantic and the ones sold on eBay. The Benevento kit runs almost $300 while the eBay ones are about $100-$150 cheaper... Are they pretty much the same or is there really a noticeable difference in the quality? Did anybody install one on their Disco II? Please let me know~~~ Thanks....

If you are going to install a wood kit, the last thing you want is to buy a cheap one, they will fad, peel or crack for sure.
I have seen rally good quality kits up into the $500 range.

 

Installed one last week on my D2 that I got from Ebay. I was pleasently surprised at the quality for the price ($100.00), and the color perfectly matches the stock trim that I had on the inner doors and over the glove box. You have to get it aligned and take your time, cause the 3M really sticks on. Only time will tell if I was right to install it or not, but the results are pretty impressive.

 

if your going to a dash kit, make sure it's made of wood. there some really bad plastic kits out there. holes dont line up. they don't conform to curves very well and use a crazy glue type adhesive. a good one can cost as much as300.00 bucks. but,I have seen some for over 400,00 why? I'm not really sure.
