So I am in the middle of doing a head gasket change because I started loosing water all the sudden changed water pump but was still leaking somewhere else not sure were so I just ordered a head gasket set from britparts well I started cleaning them up and noticed there’s worn out edges on the intake is that normal or is my head bad. Here’s some pics
milling marks, probably to clean up casting flange or for injector flow. they are uniform across the ports. nothing to worry about. Just make sure to put a THIN bead of RTV (i like black) on both sides of lower intake gasket at front and rear water ports......and try the lower gasket first for size and see how it lines up with the ports....
Careful with the head bolt torquing!!
and are you going to get the head checked for flatness first(mill if needed?)? Looks like it got hot a few times.....
