Worried about 2001 DISCO
That doesn't sound like a lot on the Car Fax. The mileage reported may be about the time a recall or 2 were done. There were a few on this vehicle. You can call Land Rover Customer Service and give them the Vin Number and they can tell you if all of the recalls were done. It does however sound like it has not been at a dealer except at the miles you stated and it was probably for the recalls (the first for the appointment the second after the parts came in), and the Car Fax probably won't show what was done. If I were in your shoes, I would buy it, you will love it. Don't worry about the engine as much as the maintenance. If you do buy it get an extended warranty. Then the first thing I would do with the money you are saving on the vehicle purchase (cause it isgood buy, check kbb.com), get it in for service like the 60K service. Radiator Flush, Oil Change, Brake system flush trans fluid change, plugs and wires, change the front U-Joints and put ones on with grease fittings, check brake pads and rotors replace if more than 50% wear on the pads. Check the owners manual for all of the recommends. Like others have said, spend the $50 to $100 to geta scanner, get a RAVE CD, some metric tools, phillips screw driver, use premium gas and enjoy the ride.
