would a p0340 imobilize drive
I was moving my disco 2 a few weeks ago, it had a week alternator and the battery died in the middle. I charged the battery and replaced the alternator,
Car started but would not move forward. M & S lights were flashing with a p0722 code which would not go away. I let the truck alone for a few days started it again and the p0722 was gone so were the M & S lights but I still have no drive whatsoever - reverse works colonel but no drive. I changed the granny filter and fluid - no help all I am left with is a p0340 would this cause the imobilization ?

A 340 is a failed cam sensor and should have no bearing on your tranny, but will need to be replaced to regain your proper top dead center and timing for your ECU.
The 722 is for no signal from your speed sensor, most likely you drive issue.

This is a real possible rebuild tranny issue, since you already did fluid and filter. Are youi sure fluid is full? Trannys usually fail in one direction or the the other, so being able to go in reverse would be expected. It also means you are not immobilized, etc.
The only other maybe it is electrical would be if the XYZ switch has decided to act up, now that you have better battery and alternator, and a little more voltage.
