Ok. Front passenger and rear passenger window have been inoperable.

Today I tore the rear apart, to find a bad switch and a bad motor. I already knew the switch was bad because the paddle was floppy, had no resistance. So I ordered a new switch. It's a front switch so I had to modify the plug to fit.

Get the new motor and switch it, window works great. Until I attempt to utilize the switch in the center consol. When I hit the center consol switch, nothing happens. If I hit it repeatedly I pop fuse #13 under the dash. Tried a different switch and same result.

So to summarize, both drivers side windows are fine. Passenger front does nothing. And passenger rear works fine with door switch but pops a fuse with consol switch.

 

Just thinking out loud. Clearly there's a dead short.

Finding the shorted wire should be easy enough, I'll just probe the pins. But aren't the windows controlled through the bcu? What circuit is #13 fuse protecting if not the bcu?

 

Try holding the switch up or down while pinching or moving the rubber harness cover between the door and the pillar or any harness while the panel is out. Mine broke again and it stayed halfway up just today and wont go up or down until I opened the door and held the switch up and played with the accordion rubber wire cover and the window went up. Just might work. Now I know the wires on the door broke again.
