NICE cvhyatt! Well upon further inspection, found a bent semi-stripped flange bolt. Needed a 30mm socket and long breaker bar to get this one off.... Non OEM flange kits, nuts n bolts cheap from LK8...

I have an SE7 non AC, changing my interior to all black leather (except jump seats which do not come in leather) so hard to find the correct black jump seats. Finally found a mint set from AC vehicle, and have to exchange the cushions and covers to my correct longer mount seat. It's a PITA...... Two rivets, 1 strap, 4 hog rings, and ton of J hooks...

Went for a drive up and down the driveway. I have light rust on rotors from recent rain. I noticed that 3 put of 4 rotors had the rust polished off from the short drive. All except the left rear. This explains my braking issue, but not the cause. But, it's a new rebuilt caliper! So, have a few new parts coming including the flex hoses to frame, brake lines, banjo bolts, and a second rebuilt caliper. Hopefully not a block in the line. Will flush appropriately !

Installed new TW's D shaft. measured for 25 1/8" flange to flange. 4 grease fittings easy to reach now. Only one hidden fitting, and TW supplies the point filling adapter. New output flange, lock nut, felt washer, and some lithium grease on the T-case shaft seal and the flange mating surfaces. A few drops of medium blue thread-locker on flange nut. Drives smooth again no more grinding...... They recommend high temp (>250degree) grease. Might use mobil NLGI-1 CM-L for refills in future....

120 ft lbs for flange nut
35 ft lbs for D shaft nuts

Some more work on passenger seat. Got the driver switch harness from england. Had to push out and swap some of the switch wires to get motion coordinated with switch position (works fine). Easy to push out female pins with T handle. Color coding makes it easy to identify motors to reverse pins. Have to cut off seat belt restrain lock and weld to opposite side. Have to weld in the safety track stops and the ball retainers on each track (yet to do). So now I have up and down front and rear motion. No lumbar bladder control as I did not want to pull off the back-rest leather. Had to fix a push pin mount, drove it out with a hammer, and pressed back in with C-clamp. Note that there are side respective fascia mounts that also have to be exchanged, as well as the nylon screw anchors. Also, bent in the little 'J' clip hooks which locked the seat cushions down and make removal a PITA. Seats have shrunk enough to hold the 'J' hooks in place without this extra bite. I greased the tracks and added one extra ball at rear for each side of each track (had spares from donor seat). Track bolts in last pic are temporary until I weld the locks back in.....

I am not sure if full seat control was ever a USA version option.. but I like a nice puzzle project... EDIT:I have seen a US full control passenger seat now. So that option was out there......

You can't just swap the seat pan (part with spring cushion). Seats have three main parts in the base. The seat 'pan,' the middle mechanism, and the base tracks. So to do this exchange, you need to swap parts to get the middle mechanism (height control motors and links). Easiest way is to leave the pan riveted in place, and just swap sliding track body mounts. You could drill out the heavy slider unit rivets, but there were too many safety connections between the sliders and the middle mechanism, so exchanging the track mounts was easier.....

Welded up the ball retainers (two per track) and the safety stops (one per track). Welded the seat belt tensioner 'U' bracket on to correct side. Fixed the fascia mount to correct side. Just a matter of swapping out the seat back and bottom cushion......

Steel block in center of pic is the safety stop. On each side are the ball stops.

Ok all done! everything works. Installed the british driver side harness. Easy to do, just remove the rear ash tray fascia and pull up the carpet a bit. The track wear was a bit different from one seat to another , and these were donor seats out of wrecked cars so one track had a bent mount which I did not notice until installed. Had to remove and bend to correct angle (pic below). Swapped the F-R pins in harness and now everything works fine. The pics below show the air bladder and pump. I could have installed these but did not want to risk tearing the leather or vinyl of the backrest. Keep those metal 'U' seat clips, there are 2 different sizes which hold the covers to the bottom back of frames. I love these seats. the leather is nice and soft. Someone took care of them before I got them! Also, had to add some ABS supports to the front ends of seat bottom 'J' hook using locktite plastic bonder.

I have a set of mint black carpets and full wood center console to install, but that is for some other day.........
