XRAD'S Disco 2

Agree. Black might have been a good one. And limited color combos with the given choice interior/exteriors. Or whatever the dealers chose.....
Although the Disco II had many new parts/designs, it is still a mishmash of older design elements/parts. For example, the seat belt bolt uses a second spacer to clear the seat fascia instead of one longer spacer. All based on the mid nineties RR classic style/molds/parts bin I guess....

Had pull to left on braking. Took apart left rear caliper and found a rusted frozen pin. Now the shop was supposed to have replaced all the pins, but they only did 3!! the rusted one was a bear to loosen. Cleaned it up and greased. The pads were worn on an angle but new enough to still use. They will seat in a few trips to work. Also, shop installed the slotted rotors on the wrong side in the rear! Sheesh! Did not notice till now. Probably makes little difference, but I put them on correct side. Bled rear brakes. Now tracking under braking is way straighter! NICE!
Also had a bad vibration in my new TW's driveshaft at 35 - 45 mph. They sent out a replacement in 3 days! NICE! This one is smooth at all normal speeds so far.......
And special thx to my super awesome girlfriend. She supports whatever I do. Thx Baby!

Just for sheetz n giggles, I tried a US version driver side switch harness on the modified passenger seat control. Fits switch pins just fine. Same thing though, some of the motor wires were reversed for the lower seat. So actually, I did not need the UK version harness (cheap and used anyway). Only needed the correct harness plug (the smaller grey plug) to fit the US driver seat harness now on passenger side.
Had to reset my compass for some reason. Was displaying garbage. Held the reset button for correct time, but no change. Had to unhook battery to get the 'C'......then set to zone 9.

Tomwoods shaft out and proline shaft in:
https://www.roversnorth.com/parts/pl...y_ii_1999_2004
This is the Proline NON heavy duty shaft. It is much lighter than TWs shaft. Fits fine for a 4" lift. All the splines are still in the tube. The joint angles are as little as possible with my 6 degree caster rods. Proline center ball has no grease fitting so you have to squirt under the rubber cover....
The first TW shaft had bad vibrations at 35-45 on acceleration. The second TW shaft had minor vibrations 35-45 under acceleration, but had nasty vibration under accel when over 55.
Proline had no noticeable vibration under acceleration or decel up to 60mph so far.....

I bought them through LK8 which has been super to deal with so no too big a deal. Seems the TW shafts were both out of balance at same speeds to different degrees which could be that their balance unit is off a bit. but it's always a little different when it's on the truck vs the balancer....
