That was wishful thinking. It’s back at the shop. They’ve gotten through the ignition switch and checked the starter, but they’ve knocked off until Tuesday. I’m getting an extended XMas trip courtesy of the Rover.

Land Rover...the vehicle that just keeps giving...a person head aches...lol.

Hope they find the issue soon. You were close to figuring it out yourself, they should make the final lap easily.

I am hoping that the issue is clear from a thorough scan of the BCU, ECM, etc. I think it is either the alarm or the tranny not allowing start. The right hand front door actuator is making crazy amounts of noise. My best guess is the alarm is malfunctioning.

So it ends up the BCU is malfunctioning. If anyone has this issue, get behind the glove compartment and tap the BCU a few times and try to restart.

i was taking a pic for Paul Grant to match part #, and after detaching, reattaching, no start. Tap it a few times, sure enough, fires right up.

I believe you can change the title of this topic by going to advanced edit

"No start, BCU issue"...would help folks down the road.

Glad you found the issue. knew you were close before you took it to the shop.

Brian.
