As you say you can enter the vehicle, I would operate the manual door lock-release switch sensing if the driver door actuates.
Or perhaps from the outside, a long stick trough a left opened passenger window.
All door lock actuators are different, cannot be swapped to another door.
I have not used my fob nor key in 3 years fearing your kind of problem happening some day. Permanently unlocked 24/365 anywhere I go. Not a risk where I live.

Lawgirl. If you can turn a spanner, don't mind scratching around yourself a bit, have the odd set of tools lying and, there is a good chance, with the help of this forum you can turn your Disco around, and not hate it so much.
Remember when you thought it was amazing, for about 10 minutes after buying it?
There are people on here who will get you a used actuator to try.
Where do you think the leak is coming from? How did you slow it?
If you have the patience, stick around, fix up that old car of yours....

Hey externet
Oh I promise you that I will not be locking my car either. I am so so sooooooo glad I was at home as opposed to being stranded as a single mom. What a nightmare!!! Idk what idiot thought the superlock system was a good idea. Every landrover roadside or shop I called asked me first thing if I was locked inside my car. That obviously is a problem!!!
I have played with the lock and latch and it def seems to be the actuator. I realized after I posted that each one is different. I can order the part for 50 bucks or may go to the upull it. Sucks so bad I cant drive my damn car because of my stupid door lock. I can get in. I am not locked out of the car just the driving. I am going to take the mentioned advice though abt trying to reconfigure or sauter the fob wires. Ugh

So I am seeing conflicting reports about if I should remove the window part of the door or if I can do it with just the panel off. Also everyone is saying to check the pin first.
Being unable to drive SUCKSSSSSS
my posts are going to get more and more insane asylum. This support is going to be like AA for rover support. Very cool thanks guys

Remove the panel, then you will need to remove the window frame.
There are 2- 10mm bolts at the bottom inside track. Then there is a 13mm just below the side view mirror. There is also 2 torx heads on the outside of the door frame/jamb that need to be unscrewed. Before you remove the frame, use a paint pen to mark its position, when you get it back in you want it to be adjusted properly so there is no wind noise.
Good luck!
