well I guess I should have said almost every one, hard to argue with a chalkboard headliner. Most spraypainted headliners that folks have posted up look kind of bad though. Probably better to roll the paint on I would think.

Took a week for the headliner to come in.
Then I dropped the truck off Mon. morning and picked it up Mon afternoon.
They even hand washed the truck and cleaned the interior for me.
She looked brand new until I drove her home.
Now shes covered in road grime and salt again.

Now here is something totally Land Rover.
They reclined the drivers seat so they could work, I went to drive her home and the drivers seat would not work.
So I had to drive like a pimp, it sucked. I'm a adult so I sit upright when I drive.
Well today after I had told my girl how beautiful she was and how much I loved her the seat started working again.
I was going to replace the switch this weekend but now I dont need to.
God I love my truck.
AND, She loves you.

another idea i had was to treat the fiberglass with some kind of epoxy so i can use a adhesive vinyl to adhere a union jack flag the whole width and depth of the headliner... kind of like the roof of a mini cooper but on the inside of the vehicle.

Looks Great Spike! I can't believe it was that much!! I bought my backer for $20, material for $60, and the 2 cans of adhesive for $30. It took me 2 hours becasue I had to pull it back out to find the rails were missing. I think I am the only one that has attemted a fabric replacement? Everyone seems to be painting theirs.

I had my 2001 done in fabric done last summer by Jim's Upholstry in San Diego. They did an outstanding job, it looked better than new, all for $200. Now the liner on my 1999 ***** like the set from Lawrence of Arabia. Sagging from front to the step up and then sagging again in the back. I am almost ready to shell out another $200 to get this one fixed. For a couple hundred bucks, it is a no brainer. Phil

1999 DI with a saggin liner
2001 DII brand new liner, makes you want to just sit in the truck an look up!

Mine had been ripped out, and I had never done one before. It was suprisingly easy, but then again, I have above average skills...=) . I added some dynamat to the roof and it is soooo much better with the liner in there. I had to glass a few places on the backer to add some stability, but it was totally worth it.

Suede would be cool, but I have cloth. Might look funny..

I have serious headliner envy. Mine droops to my head. I certainly hope I can get it done cheaper than that. I already asked this in my thread, but I'll ask again. My headliner board was destroyed by someone mounting TVs to it, so I am looking to not only replace the fabric but the insulation board as well. anyone know where to get a new one???

get one from someone parting out a vehicle or a junkyard. just make sure if you have sunroofs it has the sunroof cutouts or if you dont have sunroofs that the liner doesnt have the cutouts.

X2 on the salvage. I got mine from someone parting out on Craigslist.

You can repair the board with fiberglass if you want to. Mine was a little weak so I glassed in some metal banding straps, but I think the glass mat would have been enough. Just do it from the top side and fill the holes.
