With a car collection like that, I hope you have a large stable to keep them in. When I had my Benz SEL and my 928 I was like George Burns in that movie God where he put the cones around his ride. I would purposely straddle either two or four spacess away from other cars in a parking lot.

If anyone commented, I'd tell them I do it for their safety and because I have an eye problem. I just couldn't see having someone park close enough to bang their damn doors into me.

You have some very interesting rides there. Post some pics in your album please.

You have to use 2 full cans. It needs to be sprayed on the backer AND on the fabric. I used the same glue and it has held up for 2 years now...

I don't want to get flamed for stepping on somebody else's thread or about this not being Rover technical related..but you asked

The VW is awesome and probably the most fun to tool around in. I made a total custom interior for work / camping etc along w/ a banging audio system. The late model ones 02-03 are great w/ the variable valve Jetta engine, way different than the old microbus. Cruise on, 85MPH, through the mountains, 23MPG, can't beat it. They are also HUGE inside.

The ML has had a lot of Renntech things done and pulled north of 400 RWHP and 400 ft lbs on a 4 wheel dyno. It is cool but I like the Rover better.

The 944 is a screamer w/ 167 RWHP out of a series 1 N/A. 11 /1 compression, 3 liter crank, a bunch of Lindsey Racing stuff in the head and fuel delivery, all the goodies in the suspension, 924 LSD transaxle, etc

The M3 is what it is, my wife's 4 door automatic. I had a Dinan E34 M5 that I sold to get her the M3 and the M5 is a whole different animal.

The 964 is cool but my least favorite. I have had 7 911s and this is the newest and the one I like the least. I sold a PERFECT 60K mile 84 Meteor Gray w/ black targa to get it and I am still pissed that I did. An Air Force flyboy sourced me out through the Porsche club and contacted me via email 6 months before he was scheduled to come back to the states. He told me he had promissed himself when he a) got back from Iraq and b) made Lt Colonel he was buying an 84 exactly like mine as he and his wife drooled over one when he was stationed in Germany in the 80s. he had saved up $16.5K over 4 years so.....a steal for he and his wife, it was worth $25K. I even gave him a Porsche leather jacket, 2 hats, and 2 T-shirts. It was a major purchase for them and I even filled it w/ gas and told them to drive it for the weekend and take it to a mechanic just to be sure it was waht he wanted. I never got to drive it again. It is because of guys like him that we all can live the way we do.

The 3 little ones will fit in tightly. I can get the Benz and the Rover behind them and shut the door but normally somebody stays outside along w/ the VW.

Steve
