Had to share this story as I think it is classic.

My career is in Business Aviation, my wife and 4 year old picked me up from the airport on a recent business trip.

I always tell my 4 year old about the trip and who I met on my travels.

As we are chatting about the trip he begins to ask me who I met on this trip and before I could even answer he asked did you meet with Disco Mike?? I looked at my wife and we couldn't help the laughter.

Now I know Mike is a legend on this forum but I never thought this held true in my 4 year olds eyes

The crazy thing about it is I've only once spoken with Mike about something near and dear to all are Disco hearts an Engine Tick.

You are raising him right, he has his prorities straight.

 

Hopefully he learns from the not so wise one as to never buy (2) Land Robers and spend his free time doing more enjoyable things!!

 

I work close to the field where the G550's come from - some of their customers have expensive hobbies as well.... but usually don't work on their own toys.

 

We do a lot of work with Gulfstream.

Lets just say they are in a different tax bracket then most of us, that 1% or something like that. If I could afford a 45 million dollar aircraft I sure as heck would not be working on my Disco.

I could get use to that lifestyle though pretty easily.
