Hello. I have a 2022 Discovery Sport and it’s been giving a low battery message. Took it to the dealer and they told me it’s because the car isn’t driven regularly for 20-30 mins on highways. They metered it at 12.4 and said it only needed to be charged, which they did and the recommended regular freeway use at least once a week. I inquired about a battery maintainer and they offered to wire one in for easy hookup under the hood etc. for $350.00. I know Land Rover had a CTEK unit with their logo that plugs into cigarette lighter but they said I shouldn’t use that one. Does anyone know a reason why? I am able to safely do this with my Porsche and BMW. Just wondering if Land Rovers are damaged by this?

 

I have the same message. Drive it 70 miles a day. It's been coming on for the past 3 years, with the old battery and a new battery.
