come on you going to cheap out over $60 in oil? what did your rod bearing cost $60<>, main bearing $60<>, timing chain & gears $60<>, oil pump?. see the point. why chance it for for the price of a good oil change. if you reusings the old cam and lifters no need to add zinc or give it a 30 minute break in.

 

I use lucas oil additive on all my scoots and rigs. Good oil.

I did the same. no issues. she started off as a shooting/offroad rig but she's become a DD now. My other vehicles and Harleys have been neglected... She's just so fun and nice to drive

 

Dino oil with Red Line Engine Oil Break-In Additive. Synthetic oil can lead to glazed cylinder walls during break-in, plus you'll be changing it often anyways.

 

Mark at 12 and stop @ 5 o'clock is almost 180 *

Wouldn't 80* be start at 12 and stop at almost 3 o'clock ( 3 is 90*)

Well engine is reassembled, waiting on a second set of hands to set it back in so I can bolt her up

Got the vale job done I neglected when I did the hg last year, heads were checked and did not rewarp so no cutting this time , guides were still good and so valve job was not too bad since everything was reused and I had the seals

 

Are you gonna be able to run it today once it's all back together?
