Has anyone tried this or heard of anyone doing it? Im considering a blown up disco 1 ive found cheap, but id like to convert it to be a fuel efficient, 4x4. I dont have any plans on off roading, just want a capable, RELIABLE, ****box.
I figured with one of these kubota engines, torque destroying the trans wont be as much of an issue, etc.

 

There's a guy (Rusty Alcoholic Guy) on YouTube who put one in a Wrangler. I'm interested in what anyone else has to say as well as what direction you decide to go in.
