Sounds great. What are your ideas for an air box?

Great progress. ^ Maybe for the airbox a 90* bend next to the intake plenum, looks like plenty space

With the first Disco, we had to curve around the A/C compressor and then back into the factory box. It worked okay with a good filter. Cheap filters were too restrictive at high RPM. A 90 won't work because of the fan. Since this is my personal rig with a snorkel, we're going to figure something else out. We're probably going to go with a 4 inch inline filter plumbed directly to the snorkel. Might also do an electric fan since the wiring is already in place for it.

‘05 Pontiac GTO fans fit well with trimming. As far as I can tell that will give you the most fan you can get on the radiator. A 14” and 12”. I used a Ron Francis AR99 Controller works great.

Do you have a picture of the GTO setup? Trying to plan for when this comes online.Hopefully there is enough space with the GTO fan ?
Wouldnt need a controller with this swap as its still running the LS ECM

Based on your picture, it would be close to install a quick 90 right out the throttle body, but its possible.

I couldn't say obviously, but without the upper fan shroud there is quite a bit of room. Honestly, my favorite part of the fan set up, aside from I think it is cool, is never having to take the damn viscous clutch fan off again.

I would be really interested to see what an all aluminum GTO Radiator would look like and fab it in. That way the fans would clip right in, or that is my impression. Unfortunately, I can't weld.

Thanks for the recommendation on the fans CollieRover. Between your pictures and some rough measurements, it looks like that would provide enough space to do a 90 degree turn for the intake. One nice thing about the LS ECM is that it has programmable provisions already in place for two fans, which you can set to your preferred temps for turning on and off using HP Tuners or other software. I have been looking at getting a custom all-aluminum radiator for this setup and for off-road builds, but it'll have to wait until later.
