Just curious at this point, but as my disco is running really well actually, but at some point in the future, I may be looking to do a swap, since I have no intentions on getting rid of it.
Just an fyi
a 351W is 1.5" wider than a 302.
That really tightens up exhaust clearance.

Ford owned part of Mazda too...but you didn’t see them replacing the rotary engine with 4c from a Pinto...know what I mean?

anyway...it’s your wallet 👍🏻

Close, Buick first used the engine in 1963. Sold it to Land Rover in 1965. BMW made the change from GEMS to Bosch. Ford made the change from 4.0 to 4.6. BMW's changes brought the onset of head gasket issues, poorer block castings, etc.

Edit: Ford introduced the Jaguar engine into Land Rovers.

“The Rover V8 began life as the Buick 215, an all-aluminium OHV pushrod engine introduced in 1960 for the 1961 US model year (it was on their drawing boards in the late 1950s).” Production period 1960 - 2006

when referring to Jaguar and Ford; those motors were not introduced until the Discovery 3.
