TDI swap + V8 for sale
Hello,
I'm currently prepping for a VW TDI swap on my 00 Disco - has anyone done it before? I got a mildly used CJAA and was wondering if anyone has any tips.
I'm selling my Rover V8 - theoretically, it has 180K, but it has been pretty much rebuilt from the ground up (new bearings: crankshaft, rod, and camshaft. New: camshaft, lifters, pushrods, rockers, rocker shafts, valve seals, timing sprockets and chain, front seal, water pump and alternator, piston rings, ignition coil, sparkplugs, sparkplug wires. What goes with it is all new gaskets (head as well), o rings, and seals. The whole block has been degreased and degunked. Pistons have been polished. Valves have been lapped. Never had a blown head gasket or dropped liner (this is an early block with none of those problems)
Included are exhaust headers, secondary air valves and pump, alternator, balancer, belt tensioner, belt, all engine sensors, upper and lower intake w/ idle regulator, engine mounts, a throttle body, oil cooler, ignition coils, and spark plug wires, starter, clutch fan. All critical components have been replaced with OEM (where possible/feasible)
The motor has great compression on all cylinders and runs really smooth.
