Feelander 1.8 Petrol - High Revs at Idle
Cold Start my Freelander, Revs jump up 2000 and starts climbing to 2500.
Take it for a drive, Rev are normal versus Speed.
After about 20 Mins, where possible I stop the vehicle, Idle is now around 3000 RPM.
In most cases (95%), turn the engine off then on. The Idle Rev is now back down to around 1000 at normal operating temperature.
So far;
Replaced the Idle Control Valve.
ECU has been removed and tested.
I believe the MAF has been check.
My Mechanic has run their diagnostic equipment, no error codes
Despite all that, problem still there, any ideas would be appreciated?

Hi,
I have checked with my mechanic, they haven't checked the MAF as it is part of the ECU.
To check the ECU properly (including MAF), we need to remove it and send the ECU to UK to be tested.
In the meantime, there are a couple outlets going from the Injection Unit to the Cylinder Head.
They have cap one outlet, this in turn has suppressed the High Rev at Idle.
But lost the Cold Start, need to keep my foot on the accelerator pedal.
Does this, still sound like the MAF/ECU or is there something else?
