Freelander 2 - TD4 GS Rhythmic Clunking Noise. Loud!
Hello all
Freelander 2 - TD4 GS 128k auto
Can anyone identify what this noise might be?

Seems worse when turning, roundabout or coming off driveway etc.
Can’t really hear much of it over 20mph, noticed abit of vibration higher speed though.
Notice if I’m doing say 10mph, I give a little gas then clunk clunk clunk as soon as I let off no noise, back on the gas clunk again.
Mechanic has had on ramp but can’t work it out (not specialist though but itmight be time). I don't use daily so currently off the road.
Any ideas? Thank you
