Default 1998 4.0 no ignition, dash lights.

For the last couple of weeks the message center has said that the key battery is low, I replaced it twice and it is still low. A local RR specialist said the circuit in the key is most likely to blame. Yesterday I turned the key and nothing turns on except the SRS light and I can hear the fuel pump. No dash lights besides the SRS. The low range selector lights up and the radio code light blinks. Aside from that nothing. I ran the hawkeye on it and it shows code 1607 MIL circuit. All fuses are good I wonder if the computer went or if the key had something to do with it?

Ya i suspect a loose connection or wire. For the time being i disconnected the battery, reconnected it and it started right up as normal. The key works locking and unlocking all the doors as well. Well see if it reappears.
