Default 2004 Range Rover Front Passenger Airbag

Hi All,

I'm looking for some information on front passenger airbag for a 2004 Range Rover. About once a week I have to pickup 4 children (the oldest being 6 years old, 4ft tall, and 65 lbs). Is there a way to deactiviate the front passenger airbag? Any other advice?

Thanks in advance.
Michael

You can't deactivate the airbag. What you should do is lower the seatbelt anchorage (where it goes into the pillar) all the way down, and move the seat all the way back. At 65 pounds, I'm not sure if the passenger detection system is triggered or not. When my 60 pound daughter rides in front, she claims the heated seat doesn't work unless she "pulls" herself down into the seat by gripping the sides, which I take as an indication that she isn't heavy enough to be detected. To think as a kid I used to ride standing up in the back of a pick-up truck. Where have all the good times gone.
