Default 2004 Range Rover HSE

The dealer is offering $19,995 for a 2004 full size Range Rover HSE with 55k miles. It was advertised for several weeks. Something must be wrong with the car, right? I finally went for a test drive this past weekend. At 70 mph the rocking and rolling started. The dealer said it was worn rotors that was causing the noise. I asked for a diagnostic from a Range Rover dealer rather than taking the dealerships word. Repairs were made under warranty for a 2004 differential problem by the Land Rover dealer and no other issues were detected. I test drove it again tonight and lo and behold no rocking at rolling at 70 mph. Side bar-the dealer tried to tack on an additional $3,000 for repairs that were covered under warranty.

Is this a a good deal at $19,995 with the recall repair completed? I'm ready to sign on the dotted line!!!

Take a look at KBB and look at the CPO inventory on LandRoverUSA to gauge what other RR's with the same mileage and year are going for.

Personally I think it sounds like a great deal. New Honda Civic or a Pre-Owned Range Rover; easy decision for me.

Just remember that this price is not the end of your costs; fuel, insurance, brakes, tires, etc. Also, be sure you can afford costly repairs once you are out of warranty.
