Default 98 P38 rearview mirror, won't stay on

I replaced my old RV mirror, and thinking OK I'll just slip it back on, Well it goes on OK and looks like it's on, but seems to slip off easy. I also tried replacing the old mirror clip with the newer one. Am I missing something? any trick to keeping it on?
Thanks

I think there is no problem with your rear view mirror installation. But have you tried checking if the rubber that surrounds the mirror itself grips the mirror tight? If not, I think you should replace that one.
