Default Awful door handles

Hey guys I did a search on this and couldn't find anything.

My girlfriends exterior door handles on her 05 Rover HSE are hideous. The clear coat on the plastic is bubbling up and its scratched to hell and back. I did a search on EBay for door handle covers and only came up with chrome ones. I don't want those ugly things. Anyone ever put door handle covers on their Rover? How were they? They kinda all look like junk. Should I even go with getting covers or just have someone paint them? I know it would cost a fortune to do that though. Does anyone know where I can find some grey ones that look like her stock handles or anything? Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't go with covers as most I have seen have the potential to scratch or just don't look authentic. Doorhandles shouldn't be insanely expensive to get painted... might try getting a few quotes at paint shops.

And thank you for not putting hideous chrome covers on! It kills me when I see Rovers with them.

Oh no problem. I hate the chrome on the Range Rover. She already wanted to put a chrome grille on it, and I put a quick stop to that lol. Chrome does not belong on a Range Rover.

The only part that would be expensive in getting them painted is the disassembly of the door handle. Anyone doing the job the right way would take them off.

Does anyone else have this problem with the door handles?
