have a 2003 range rover hse, the brake light and check brake pad light is still on after we just replaced the rotors, brake pads and brake sensor, does anyone know how we can reset these so the light will go out?
thanks

Default RE: brake light

turn the key on for 30 seconds, engine not running. this will reset the light if both of your sensors are not tripped

what do you mean tripped? how many brake sensors are there on the 03? is there only 2, both on the drivers side, front and back? and do they both have to be replaced? have tried what you suggested, but it didn't work.
and do you know where i can buy a repair manual for the 03 range rover hse?
thank you

There are a few repair manuals to chose from here...

Not sure how good any of them may be.

Default what kind of oil and filter to use

have a 03 range rover hse, any suggestions on what kind of oil and filter i should use, i only go about 2 miles to work and back everyday, so little driving but lots of stops.
when changing brake pads, rotors, and the drivers side brake sensor ( it was gone) do both sensors need to be changed? because we can not get the brake light or the check brake pads to go off.
thanks

there are 2 sensors, one on lh front and one rh rear. if it doesnt clear with the key cycle then the rear sensor is bad also, or tripped(has hit the rotor and gone open circuit) or you have a short... check the rear
