Default A/C Problems. Hot on one side, cold on the other.

I recently bought a 2002 Range Rover. It's been maintained by the Dealer for the past 10 yrs. & I've all records. My question is that my A/C blows HOT heated air on the drivers side and COLD air on the passenger side. I live in Miami, Fl. and I really don't need heated air , all I need is A/C. The blend doors are all working properly. Anybody out here have any ideas what this could be? Any and all help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, photos would be a great help.

If its blowing hot on one side and not the other, then one of the blend motors has gotten stuck or died. I've encountered this problem on mine and other RRs, and usually cycling back and fourth from hot to cold a few times, will eventually free them up and it will start functioning properly.

Sorry for the late post, been very busy. LRScott, I've tried cycling back and fourth from hot to cold a few times but to no avail. It doesn't stop from blowing hot, heated air on the drivers side. Also, do you happen to know where the Bank 2, Sensor 2 O2 sensor is located? It's showing up on my scan tool.

I had a similar problem. I found this post most helpful in understanding and repairing mine. I just took the deep breath and dove into replacing all the servo motors. You can splice a good servo unit into the bad units place, I guess, if that's all you want to do. I read somewhere online that someone mentioned being able to buy replacement gears but didn't save that link.

Blend Motor Diagnosis and Replacement

cheers
