I have an issue and i hope someone can help me , my 95 range rover release cable inside door broke on the driver side I brought the cable and now i don't know how to pu this thing on the hole where i think it might go is too small i have a attach a pic of my inside door latch can anyone help me

Ok so I tried to repair my door today but I unscrewed every screw and I didn't need to I ended up taking the lock actuator apart and I can't put it back together ! Yes dumb me but now my question is can I use A rear left side door latch for my driver side ? They are cheaper ?
