Drivers seat repair
Hello everyone,
My drivers sear has a tear along one of the seams. The tear is on the seat bottom. I would like to have it repaired or replaced. What are my options? Can I buy the bottom seat leather and install it myself or is this something that an interior shop can do? I would like it to match the rest of the interior and replace the leather on the drivers armrest at the same time. I looked online and the only thing I could find were aftermarket seat covers which I don't want. Any ideas?

You might be able to. I know on my RR the previous owner re did the bottom part of the driver seat and the arm rest. They probably took it to a upholstery shop. Its usually not cheap though.
actually contact the dealer, the dealers have an army of independant operators that repair leather, fix dings, fix dents, windshield cracks, you name it. Plus the guys they use are reputable. Trust me if they weren't they wouldnt use them on the used cars you guys buy from us.
There is a write-up on Range Rovers.net that goes over how to repair the seat heaters and how to remove the seat covers. Looks like a PITA. On mine, I took it to an apolstery shop. They replaced the drivers seat bottom, and the arm rest covers for $350.00 . I thought that was pretty cheap.
