Default How do I get "Service Engine Soon" light off

Is there any way to get the check engine light to go off after repairing the problem without taking it to the dealer and having them do it for me? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

NO , but if the fault does not exsist after several drive cycles ,it might extinguish ,depends on the code, dont ask me to explain a drive cycle. its too stupid . Having the code cleared and resetting adaptations makes morecents though. most testers (aftermarket) can read the codes but dont get the ability to clear them thanks to the lack of rules or laws for sharing that information. Job security at all new car dealers?
