leaking transmission fluid
#11
Mine didn't start leaking till after I bought it. About a month or two later, after I got the brakes done, I went out the next morning and practically had a puddle of oil and power steering fluid . I have been parking in my garage on a box for months. I am getting the oil pump gasket replaced tomorrow and a new gear box that I bought from Meridian in San Diego.

Scott, Isn't there a dipstick? Mine has one. Did LR eliminate them at some point? Just curious.

I second that. The stuff works great. I will be adding it to my Volvo this week. (its already in my Rover)

I would say just to put in whatever Land Rover says to use. I think the Lucas stuff is more for things that are basically worn out. I have had great luck with it in my power steering pump however I know that the pump has a lot of wear on it. It seems to have a higher viscosity than the standard fluid, thus creating more pressure and reducing the tendency to leak.
