Default P38 Power steering fluid

I don't have access to my owners manual, but what type of PS fluid does a 2002 P38 use. Bosch engine if that matters

TIA

You can download the service manual for free from greenoval. I know GEMS uses Dexron III ATF for it's power steering fluid, and since its still a ZF power steering pump on the BOSCH, I would assume nothing has changed. Double check though...

What about dexron vi? It says it exceeds dex iii. Any issues by using dex vi instead?

You can use Dexron IV. However, I would use a "generic" atf . Like ones that were specifically designed to replace dexron III. I put dexron IV in my transmission, and it started doing all sorts of weird things... Switched it to one of the ATFs that are used for "ford and meet dexron III standards" and all is well now.

Thanks all!

I was able to find DexIII at Wally world. I remember he post abou tranny issues with Dex IV, but I'm guessing there wouldn't be an issue for PS fluid.
