poping noise when you take off
Not when turning - so that should eliminate CVs.
Perhaps front or rear drive shaft U joints.
Perhaps cracked flex plate between tranny and flywheel - page attached for illustration, it is from a different part of the RAVE tech manuals (your copy awits download below).

I have the same issue. A mechanic said its a controller of some sort.
He said the part would run about 1100 and that was used. He didn't want to tell me to much about the issue.
It's only in drive for me and it doesn't allow me to get traction or torque.
Once I'm doing 40 mph or more it goes away. It's only if I step on the gas normal or a little harder than normal.
