I've attached a picture below, and would like to here your comments. This is how a high-end body shop in the Washington DC area delivered my car to me. The work was finished on Thursday, and I was more concerned about the numerous dust particles that was in the paint, so I missed this major mistake. I would never in a million years would think to check how they positioned the nameplate. Especially after the fact that these guys were referred to me by the local dealer and there were multiple Range Rovers inside...

So, I emailed the guy who runs the body-shop, and here is what they replied with:
Good Evening MXXXX. I see the picture and quite honestly i didn't even notice that. The Range Rover nameplate comes as one piece from the dealership and there have been instances where they do come not quite as spaced as they should. I will forward this to the parts manager and have him order me one immediately so we can correct that mistake. I will be in touch with you once i get the part and we will take care of that as well as the few pieces of dirt in the fender and door
I hope this doesn't happen to anybody again, but you better check this detail if you ever get any paint job done on your hood. I'm still surprised that no one owns their mistakes anymore, also it further surprises me that there was a person who applied this letter to that hood, and didn't notice. Some of those letter are not evenly spaced between them.

they come spaced and aligned properly but that doesnt mean its aligned properly to the hood if they dont mark the hood or tape where it starts or finishes it will never line up properly. also the rover part on the front looks like it belongs on the rear tail gate not the front. ive done many of these and you have to mark where the old letters were or it will look crappy just like this one

they're a PITA to apply, so i'm not surpised this happened to you -- its not the end of the world.
they do usually come in one sheet, but they're almost impossible to apply the way they are shipped, your usually forced to either apply each letter individually or one side at a time.
if i ever loose mine, i doubt i'd even bother to put them back on to be honest.

I called the shop today, and they said the new nameplate has arrived. So, I went there and had a long discussion with the guy who runs the shop about why this kind of stuff should not happen. They were nice, but wait! Five minutes later the car was ready and I was shocked that this time the individual letters inside each word was in correct spacing, but word "Range" and word "Rover" was placed too close, picture attached below. They insisted that this is how they place them, and there is nothing wrong with it. Am I missing something? At the moment there is 1 7/8 inches between the two words. I remember them to be at least 3 inches apart. Can anybody take a ruler at theirs and tell me what the spec is, please? a picture with the ruler would be great... I asked if we could check against another RR inside the shop, but there wasn't any. The pictures I showed off the internet weren't good enough to convince the shop owner.

they are still too close actually, the two Rs at either end of the script are on the end of the grille on either side

to be honest, i doubt anyone would notice, and your going to be hard pressed to find a shop that will do it right, because like i said before, they're not spaced properly on the strip that they come on from the factory.
if it bothers you, to be honest i'd remove them completely and forget about it, they look like hell after a few years anyway.
