Thanks for all the comments and confirming that it is not perfect as the shop owner claims it to be. I paid for this job, and I want them to do it right. I made a deal with the shop owner; he claims the distance between the two words on my car [1 7/8 inches] is the spec, and I'm saying that distance is at least 3 inches. He is going to redo the namerplate if the distance is as I claim. Thank you again for bringing a new reference point to my attention about where the two Rs need to be ending in reference to the grill, but this kind of an approach is too indirect for the charecter that I'm dealing with at that body shop.
