I feel pretty dumb asking this question but I am having trouble replacing the rear windshield wiper (not arm) and there is a strip on the top side of the rear window that does not allow me to work with the wiper arm.

What year is your RR? Assuming that it is 2003-up, you should be able to lift up the wiper arm enough to be able to reach the release tab for the blade. Push the tab in and slide the wiper blade toward the pass. side. Rotate the blade down and out. Reverse removal for installation.

 

My bad... I have a 96 RR. I tried to pull up as much as possible and was able to get the clip apart but I could not pull it out far enought to get the wiper blade out.

 

Try operating the rear wiper and turning the key off when the wiper is half way through its travel and see if it stops. I haven't had to change one yet, so I can't visualize it from memory.

 

I did try this and the wiper keeps going to the home position...

 

Open the tail gate when the wiper's in mid-stroke. then turn the car off. I just did mine with these..http://www.jcwhitney.com/SILBLADE2-B...8410_10107.jcw

 

Ahh....that would be how you get it to the service position. Thanks for the info!
