Default RRC Diagnostic help

i have a 90 RRC that the check engine light came on this morning. Also my PC is down so im stuck using a laptop almost as old.

Can someone walk me thru the on board dianostics, i think you have to turn the key in a special sequence in order for the black box under the passenger seat to give up the code.

also a link to the codes would be helpful, i have it all on my PC but cant get to it.

thanks

See this resource: Land Tover Troubleshooting: retrieving fault codes

See Land Rover Manuals for on line manual - no download needed.

Code 2:

This code means power to the ECU has been disconnected and the truck has not yet been started. This code should go away as soon as the vehicle is started for the first time. Appearance of this code while driving may signal a problem within the ECU.

If you want to try another ECU drop me an email or call. I can always send one up to you to see if it helps. If you contact me before noon I can get it out today and you'll have it tomorrow.
Cheers,
Paul
