Default Service Engine

My wife took my 96 baby (Range) and brought it back with the SERVICE ENGINE light on!!! She swears that she didn't do anything bad to it? The car just hit 150K miles and I was wondering if this is part of the reg maintenance program or I guess I can take it in to my local Autozone and have them pull out the codes?

Thankz

I'm pretty sure the service engine light is just a "reminder" for service, I think..... Someone else on here will chime in with a more definitive answer but, I would take it to auto zone and see if there are any codes.

You need to find out if it is the check engine light, if so there is a fault code that needs to be read or a service light remonding you it is time to check your system before you reset it.
