Sping Conversion Question
Hey Guys, so my EAS Fault light came on and the Range pancaked to the ground... my question is, I'm ready to go ahead and order the kit and do the spring conversion...
being that the EAS fault light is already on, I'm not too late right, I don't need any special services besides swapping out the bags for the springs when I'm done?
Anything specifically I may need to know when doing this conversion? I've done some suspension modifications before, never on a LandRover vehicle though... any help is really appreciated!
thanks! -Joe

RE: Sping Conversion Question
Why don't you go and have a shop plug in and see what is wrong, might be a very simple repair. Spring conversions are not cheap, Atlantic British has kits with the electrical up grades that can run up to $900 plus labor.
Spend a few bucks, get it checked out and then decide.

RE: Sping Conversion Question
I had it checked prior to the EAS Fault, apparently both front and rear bags had leaks... I didn't have the $2400 to replace the bags at the time.... since then, while driving I had to keep raising the Range every so often to prevent it from dropping... eventually it just gave out.... I found a spring kit on Ebay for $500... I just wanted to make sure the EAS Fault code wouldn't effect the drivabilty electronically... I have oversized rims and tires, so when this puppy dropped itwill not even roll...wheels rub the inner wheel well...thanks again for the advice

RE: Sping Conversion Question
New top quality bags are about $800 at http://www.arnottindustries.com/ with very little labor to replace them.
If you go to coils remember buy coils suited to what you want to use your truck for. There are different weight ranges on the coils, you will also have to make some electrical modifications and replace the shocks before you are done.
